When I was a kid I loved playing with dolls. So, of course, my favorite doll was a Barbie but I have never owned one. My sister and I had different dolls that weren’t as chic but had lots of long hair. The best part for me, was styling their hair and I never cut any of the dolls hair and they were never beheaded.

Back then there wasn’t much choice in skin colors and hair textures but we had great imaginations and didn’t let that affect us too much.

So, when checking out Pinterest lately, I was so surprised to see how gorgeous and life-like the Barbie style dolls are. I love the current hair colors, hair styles and makeup looks and the variety of ethnicities is a refreshing sight to see.

Here are some of the fabulous dolls that caught my eye…..

This is the Barbie I remember wanting back in the day…..

Botox is all the rage but I think great skincare starts with a good beauty routine! Here are the products I use and love…

1.  Always remove your makeup before going to sleep. I like to use a facial wipe to take off the majority of the makeup then I alternate between an acne wash and a foaming facial wash.

2. A few times a week, I use a  mask or scrub to remove the dead skin and keep it bright.

3. Always use a night cream and eye cream to moisturize while you are sleeping. And for daytime I always a full spectrum spf for sun protection.

For bath and body my new favorite shower gel is Korres’ in assorted scents. Don’t forget to moisturize afterwards with a great lotion or body butter!!

I had the chance to do Vanessa Marano’s hair and makeup for the 2014 Young Hollywood Awards. We based her hair look on the fabulous blazer (styled by Karen Raphael) she was wearing so a sleek ponytail was in order. Here are the steps to achieve her fabulous hair look from the Red Carpet Fashion Awards site.

It’s already June and much to my dismay…… time is rapidly moving faster and faster for some reason and I now know what all the philosophers mean when they say a lifetime is a blink of time. I mean, I have actually had an iphone for 21/2 years now…… amazing! Well, anyway, it is a good time to think of everything I have to be grateful for and also a little roundup of some my favorite things from this year. Just a variety of things that I can remember…… hope you enjoy!

One of my favorite Pinteresters is Micah Sarai! She pins some of the most amazing images…. lots of variety and very artistic! My favorite boards are the All Black Everything, Fashion Files, Men of Style and Art Deco Dream!!

Plus, these products are free of parabens, mineral oil, petrolatum, formaldahyde, hydroquinone and lanolin. I really love the whole line but here are my super fave products…
